Rachel Sehr

Rachel Sehr is the Community Engagement Director with the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) in Sioux Falls, SD. In her role, she serves as the Executive Director of the SD Community Information Exchange and also leads community engagement effort’s across the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.

Rachel is a registered nurse and has been with the DOH since 2015, first working as a Disease Investigation Specialist and then the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Coordinator. Prior to joining the State, she worked in the acute care setting including medical/surgical units, the operating room, and nurse management. Rachel also worked as a school nurse for several years.
